Whats on at Seething Tower

We are normally open the first Sunday of the month, May to October, 10am to 4pm

We would love to see you all as we did in 2019 when we welcomed you to Station 146. However, due to the current government restrictions we have had to make some adjustments to our timetable. We have had to introduce a strict operating procedure and we feel very sad to have lost our free and easy welcome. We cannot serve our tea and cake or coffee with sausage rolls and you cannot sit up in the American Room and look across the airfield. But we will still smile and the welcome will still be a warm one inspite of the restrictions which are to keep you and us safe.

SUNDAY 4th OCTOBER – WE ARE OPEN AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! with restrictions AND YOU MUST PRE-BOOK BEFOREHAND. IF YOU HAVE NO PRE-BOOKING, SORRY NO ENTRY.

We are delighted to announce that we have been open for the new (short) season on the first Sunday of the month in July, August and September. We have followed some strict rules of social distancing and hygiene. We have been providing hand santising stations around the Control Tower and Nissen hut and a one way route around the buildings both inside and out. Face covering have been worn in the buildings.

YOU MUST EMAIL secretarystation146@gmail.com to book a timed one hour slot for your visit. If you are a Friend of Station 146 Tower Association please give your number when booking. In each timed slot we are allowing two groups of up to four persons who are from the same household (bubbles) . When you are going round please be aware of each group. WITHOUT A PREBOOKED TIME SLOT YOU WILL SADLY NOT BE ALLOWED IN. We will need to retain your contact details in case a visitor or volunteer falls ill after being at the Control Tower and we are contacted by the NHS track and trace service for details. We also now have a QR code for the new NHS Covid-19 App.

On arrival you will need to confirm that no one in your household has been unwell or has had an enhanced temperature during the last two weeks and no one has been isolating for fourteen days after contact with a person who has COVID-19 or ten days after contracting COVID-19.

Sadly we cannot served our usual refrehments in the American Room but we will be serving light refreshments of tea, coffee, muffins, bisuits, crisps and drinks of bottled water and Fruitshoots. This will be served either outside under the canopy or within the Nissen Hut (social distancing will apply) depending on the weather. In addition items from our shop will be on sale. Payments will be by card only (no cash). We look forward to seeing you and any questions please email us at our normal email addresss.

Open Day – Sunday 4 October 2020 – SORRY FOR THE DELAY IN GIVING NOTICE THAT WE ARE OPEN. This has been because we have been watching the government notices and the weather forecast. We would love to see you for our last open day of the year. We look forward to receiving your email, booking your timed slot. We are taking timed booking between 10am to 4pm.
